A Special Baby Card

Happy Thursday everyone! Robin here with my inspiration design of the week for Dies R Us! This week will be my last weekly post for the Dies R Us inspirational blog but I will continue with the Dies R Us Challenge Blog! In my place will be Diane Hover, who is a great designer and I am sure her projects will inspire you!

My design for this week started when I received this beautiful die set, Spanish Collection-Cordoba by Sue Wilson!
I created an A7 top fold card base from white card stock. Then cut with the two larger dies from the set using white card stock. I then cut, from a pink polka dot paper, using the largest die only, to create a background for my white die cut. I adhered the die cut to the background using liquid glue. I then embossed a piece of white card stock, cut slightly smaller than my card base, using Spellbinders EG-002 embossing folder and added to my card base.

I made a three loop bow, added to my die cut and adhered to my card base with foam pop ups. The sentiment is stamped onto the oval from the side set and added to card with more pop ups. To finish the card I added pearls to my sentiment tag. I hope you will check out all the Sue Wilson dies...they are to die for!

Be sure to stop by the Dies R Us challenge blog, they have a new challenge starting the 1st and 15th of each month! It's easy to enter and you just might win a Dies R Us gift card!

Lucky Shamrock

Happy Dies R Us Thursday everyone! Robin here with my Thursday inspiration of the week for your one stop shop for dies, Dies R Us! Valentine's Day has come and gone, so on to the next holiday St. Patrick's Day!

For this card I started with a side fold A2 white card base. My flourish was cut from white card stock and green card stock using Die-Versions Shamrock Flourish. I cut out the individual shamrocks, glued them to the white flourish and added diamond dust to them. I stamped my sentiment onto a polka dot green paper and added the flourish. I layered the flourish panel to green card stock and added to my card base with foam tape.
To finish the card I added a few round satin rhinestones. To make this card even more simple you could color the shamrocks using a green marker.

Monday thru Friday the Dies R Us Design Team have some amazing inspiration for you! So be sure to check out the DRU Blog for more creative ideas.

Dies R Us has a new challenge on the 1st and 15th of each month, see all the details at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog! You might be the next winner for a Gift Voucher!

Friendship Flourish

Welcome to the Dies R Us "Flourish" Challenge! By creating a card or project that includes flourishes and die cuts you have the opportunity to win a gift card to the Dies R Us store! Here is my design for this challenge.
My card starts with a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 top fold craft card base. I cut a piece of printed card stock slightly smaller than my card base and sponged the edges with Brushed Corduroy. I then cut my flourishes the corner flourishes are Fantastic Flourish 2 and the center flourishes are Foliage Flourish both are from Spellbinders. I added the corner flourishes to my layer, then wrapped the center with paper cord and attached to my card base with foam tape.
Next I cut my butterfly using Memory Box Lunette and Oriel Butterfly dies, glued the two pieces together, sponged the wings and added a small heart cutout to the center of the butterfly. I glued the center flourish to my card and added the butterfly with a foam pop up. I made a simple tag using a Clearly Besotted sentiment and added to my card.

I hope you have fun with this challenge and don't forget to stop by the Dies R Us store, they have all the latest dies waiting for YOU!

Until next month, thanks for stopping by,

Wreath Filled with Love

Happy Dies R Us Thursday everyone! Robin here with my inspiration of the week for you! Day after tomorrow is Valentine's Day and there is still time for you to make a few cards.
My design starts with an A2 top fold card base which is layered with a dot pattern embossed piece of card stock. The wreath is Memory Box Bloomington Wreath that I cut using white card stock. What I love about this die is it also acts as a stencil! If you leave your card stock in the die you can easily sponge colors of your choice onto the wreath. By just a change of color this die can be used for any occasion or season. This die is one to have in your arsenal.
Another multi-use die is the Love Border Word die from Impression Obsession. This word die cuts on the edge or you can cut it down, like I did here, to suit your design.  The wreath was added to my card base using foam pop ups and love was added with liquid glue.

Don't forget to sign up for the Dies R Us newsletter! Stay up to date on sales and new products! Also check out the Dies R Us Challenge Blog featuring two challenges per month!

Wishing everyone a Happy Valentine's Day! Until next week, thanks for stopping by,

Silver Wings

It's Heartfelt Wednesday! And this week is special because it's the reveal of Heartfelt's newest release "Butterfly Medley Collection"

Are you longing for springtime...dreaming of sunny hours spent in a lavish flower garden where butterflies flit lazily from blossom to blossom? Heartfelt Creations invites you to revel in the beauty of springtime with the release of the Butterfly Medley Collection of stamps, dies, and papers. This uplifting collection is bursting with bountiful botanical roses and a kaleidoscope of fanciful butterflies. Soft shades of pastel peach, lilac, sage, lemon, teal and pink are the perfect counterpoint for the bleak, grey days of mid-winter. Beautifully landscaped backgrounds include pastel plaids, cheery polka-dots, flowing script, classic stripes, elegant flourishes, seed packets, garden themed sentiments and images. Six hand drawn stamp sets featuring botanical roses and butterflies can be paired with two sets of dies, allowing you to stamp and die cut a host of embellishments with a single pass through your die cutting machine. You'll dream in beauty, plant seeds of encouragement and reap a harvest of creativity when you design with the Butterfly Medley Collection from Heartfelt Creations.

My design for the week is a gate fold card using just some of the beautiful stamps, dies and paper from the latest release.

Two for One!

Happy Dies R Us Thursday everyone! Robin here with my design of the week! Valentine's Day is one of my favorite days to give cards so I hope I'm not overdoing this "heart" thing but I can't stop myself!

My card base for both cards is an A2 ( 4 1/4 x 5 1/2) top fold card. Since I wanted a red and white card I cut each image twice, once from red and then from white card stock.  The dies I used are both from Tailored Expressions, Postage Stamp Stacklets and Love Tree.  The cute postage stamp die has stitching around the edge...love this! I used spray adhesive to attach the trees to the postage stamp, added ribbon to the bottom, then added foam tape to the back and added to my card bases. The love die cut was added to the bottom with liquid glue and the card was finished with smooth rhinestones on the tree.

Be sure to stop by Dies R Us and see all the new products! This IS your one stop for everything dies! As always, shipping is FREE on orders $35 to more!
