A Need for Thank You's!

I alway need thank you cards through out the year but with the holidays approaching I know it's time to make a whole stack of them.
My card started with layered stamping on a patterned card stock. I then added a Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Border cut from a script patterned paper. My butterfly is Memory Box Lunette Butterfly, layered on top of Memory Box Oriel Butterfly. The card was finished with a simple ribbon and pearls. All in all a very simple card that can be tailored to any holiday or occasion with just a few color changes.

You can find all the dies I used at Dies R Us or follow the links to their site!

Thanksgiving Wishes...

Happy Thursday everyone, Robin here with my inspiration of the week for Dies R Us! It amazes me how many different dies there are for all the holidays and it seem Dies R Us has them ALL! So check out our store and take a peek at our other design team members projects for the week; lots of inspiration on their blogs!

My card for today features the beautiful Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves Die set. Just look at the detail in all those leaves! My sentiment is stamped onto Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklets 2; this die set contains seven dies and is one of my "go to" banner sets!  I layered the leaves onto my sentiment banner and adhered to a piece of craft card stock. The card was finished with a few wraps of paper twine and a couple of dark orange embellishments!

Don't forget to add your name to the Dies R Us newsletter! You will kept up to date on all the latest releases AND special sales! Also, if the die you need is not in stock, add your name to the "want list", you will receive an email as soon as we have back in the store; it's that easy!

We have a "Fall Festival" challenge going on right NOW; you still have time to participate and possibly win a gift certificate to Dies R Us. Check out our Challenge Blog for all the details!

Golden Wheat

Happy almost fall everyone, here is my inspiration of the week for Dies R Us, YOUR one stop shop for dies, dies and more dies! Although fall is almost here, at least on the calendar, it's more like the middle of summer in Southern California. This week we are in the 100's, the AC has been non-stop and brush fires are a constant worry. Hopefully by the end of the week it will drop into the low 90's; keeping my fingers crossed.

My card uses Impression Obsession Wheat die and Cheery Lynn Scalloped Window Stacker die.  I chose a tone on tone paper for the wheat die cuts and a contrast paper for the scalloped oval.  My card is layered with foam pop ups, the sentiment is stamped on a homemade banner and all edges have been sponged with Distress Ink. The card is finished with a simple bow and nail heads.

The holidays are almost here, don't forget to check out all the new dies!  Dies R Us has the latest releases from your favorite companies and at amazing prices! Plus, shipping is FREE when you spend $35 or more!

And speaking of holidays, the Dies R Us Challenge for Team B is "Fall Festival". Stop by and be inspired by our design team; then make your project and submit. You could win a gift certificate to Dies R Us!

Until next week, thanks for stopping by, Robin

Fall Colors

Welcome Dies R Us Challenge crafters!  Robin here with my challenge inspiration for September! This month the challenge for Team B is "Fall Festival" using the beautiful colors of Fall!

My card base is 51/2" x 51/2" cut from Oatmeal card stock. The super detailed trees are Memory Box Cosenza Tree Border Outline and the colorful backing for each tree is Memory Box Cosenza Tree Border Background. You can use these dies in several ways but I chose to fill the negative space in my paper with the trees.

I cut a purple banner from Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklet 2 and stamped it with a fun pattern in a dark purple.  The banner was layered onto a lime green card stock, I punched holes along the edge and tied a sisal bow. The trees were added using foam pop ups. The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse.

Please check out our other talented design team members for more creative inspiration, enter our challenge and maybe you could win a gift certificate. AND don't forget to go to Dies R Us for all your die shopping needs; shipping is FREE for orders over $35!

Until next time, thanks for stopping by,

Elegant Wedding Card

Hi everyone, Robin here with my inspiration of the week for Dies R Us, your one stop shop for die cutting! With another wedding around the corner I decided to have a card ready to go instead of my usual scramble at the last minuet! However, I am getting much better and now have quite a few ready to go cards for any occasion.
mi
This card started with a subtle background paper layered onto my card base. Both the card base and the background paper corners were punched with my Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper. Next I cut all the elements for the card. The dies I used are the beautiful Sue Wilson Designs Lattice Heart die, Spellbinders Corner FlourishCheery Lynn Anastasia Border Cheery Lynn Sweet WilliamsSpellbinders Back to Basics TagsPenny Black Leaves  and Cheery Lynn Olive Branches.

After the lattice, corner flourish, lace border and tag were added I made the flower bouquet and added it to my card with glue dots. I finished the card with a pearl flourish and individual pearls.

Please be sure to add your name to the Dies R Us newsletter, not only will you informed about new products, but their sales are not to be missed! And don't miss out on our challenges; just go to the Dies R Us Challenge blog and read all the details!

Card Stash

I have been trying to seriously get a card stash together. We all need thank you, congratulation, best wishes, birthday and the necessary (unfortunately) sympathy cards. This card was very easy to make and I have made several with just a color change.
I used a stamp from Hero Arts Cherish Yesterday set and swiped Distress Ink Shabby Shutters and Faded Jeans on the back of the stamp. By swiping at a slight angle you can create the look of a hill in the background. I lightly misted with water, stamped on Neenah card stock and distressed the edges of the stamped piece. I then layered the stamped image on a dark brown card stock and  used foam pop ups to place on my pre-stamped card base.

I hope you don't need many of these cards but if you do, this technique is a good option.

How Many Days 'till Christmas?

Happy Thursday everyone! Robin here with my inspiration of the week for Dies R Us! I know we all think Christmas is several months away but what can I say? Sometimes you have an idea, pull out some paper and POOF!

!

My idea started when I saw this beautiful stamp from Crafty Individuals called 'Jingle Bells Rooftops'.  I started with an off white piece of card stock and stamped with an all over text in gold ink. Out of the same card stock, I used the largest die from Spellbinders Elegant Labels FourI lightly sponged the edges with a light brown ink and adhered to the background. The background was then glued to a dark red A7 card base.

I then stamped the image on a piece of card stock in brown ink, die cut the image using Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Two and left the piece in the die. By lightly sponging the image, while still in the die, I created a nice crisp border.  The stamped piece was layered, using foam pop ups, onto a dark red die cut from the same Spellbinders Elegant Labels Four set. This layered piece was then adhered to the background using more foam pop-ups.

The card was finished with a metallic gold bow! I hope this card has given you some inspiration for your cards using the beautiful Spellbinders dies carried by Dies R Us!

For more inspiration check out all our design team members weekly projects! Because of high volume, sometimes Dies R Us is temporarily out of stock on a particular die; don't worry just leave your email and as soon as it is back in stock you will receive notification!

Until next week, thanks for stopping by,
